Lightest Sadowsky ever! 6.7 lbs!!!

I've come to my senses!

This bass is no longer for sale.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments and interest.

Best regards,
Scott Ritchie

Original ad:

It pains me to do it, but with the Christmas squeeze I could use the cash. So please, no trades.

My beloved NYC Sadowsky, record holder as the lightest Sadowsky ever made, is up for sale.

Dark Cherry Burst, mint condition, with all plastic protectors front and back still in place. Single coils, VTC, Drop-D tuner, Ash w/maple top, Birdseye board that looks like a jewel while playing.
Strung with Chromes.

The single coil pickups came in the bass. I do have a set Sadowsky hum canceling pickups that could be put in there if that is something you would prefer.
So your choice of pickups with this bass; Sadowsky Hum canceling or Singles.

6.7 lbs!!!!!!!

Includes the PortaBag with accessories. Or a gig bag or Hardshell if you prefer.

$3400 firm plus $40 for 3 day shipping. Paypal is fine.

I am fairly new to selling on TalkBass, but have a long eBay history of 12 years, 577 100% positive feedbacks, eBay name ur2f and a premier member paypal account.

On to the bass porn!

Anyone interested in a left nut? It's all I have that's worth enough so I can buy this bass. I only need $3400 for it and it's been a good one!

Bump for a stunning bass.

Lovely bass and amazing looking fretboard!
Much hum from the single coils or are they hum cancelling?

Yes, thank you. Looking down at the fretboard while holding this beauty makes you think in a perfect world, all maple fretboards should be like this.

The pickups are hum canceling when used together. Hum has been a non-issue for me, even with the pickups soloed.
I do have a set Sadowsky hum canceling pickups that could be put in there if that is something you would prefer.

So your choice of pickups with this bass; Sadowsky Hum or Singles.

What kind of mileage are we talking here? Has it been well taken care of? Fluids regularly drained and replaced? Any bicycle bar/bull riding mishaps that I should know of?

Sorry, I digress.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and bumps and to some of you for the testicular offers!

I originally spec'd this one, having Rob @ Sadowsky build her. I really miss her as she was light as a feather on your shoulder and sounded incredible!

Anyone who winds up with this one will not be disappointed.

I'm interested. Being absolutely honest how is it for being neck heavy? Does it sit in the lap without any neck dive whatsoever? With a strap?

Hey Everybody,

Thanks for the interest!

I sold a couple guitars and the Christmas squeeze has been remedied. I picked up this bass the other day, played it a bit, and realized that I would be crazy to sell it.

I've come to my senses!

Snooze, ya' lose!

Thanks again, this bass is no longer for sale.

Best regards,
Scott
