Purchased this a few months ago to see if this really sounds/works as advertised, and I'm duly impressed. However I also have this habit of thinking I can play fretless every few years, then remembering I don't have the time, self-discipline or chops. But...maybe you do!
I was looking for something that could swing from a passable upright tone (I know, much discussed/debated here but this really does come close) to a more 'electric' vibe. With the TI Acousticores installed and the right kind of playing/attack, you really can move from one to the other...blending the optical and piezo pickups in addition to tweaking the 3-band pre, when combined with either an on-the-fretboard upright stroke or a more electric bass-type attack works wonders.
Comes with the AC charger, all the hex wrenches needed for adjustments, manual, quickstart guide, and RoadRunner gig bag. I think there was a strap with it also but it didn't fit the bass too well, if I can find it I'll include it but no promises (and no big loss if I can't find it, really). Bass is in really fantastic shape, no dings, chips, dents, etc., only some very light scratching on the finish (which is the toughest I've ever seen btw).
When it came to me the action was super, super low, almost flat to the board and played great. I had it moved up some (truss and string height) to accomodate the feel and play of the TIs. Of course it can be adjusted to the new owner's tastes.
Got this for a decent price and added the Acousticores plus some setup tech time, would like to come out even on this which would be
$525 shipped to the midwest, add $20 to either coast. If you have your own shipping account then just $500 even will do it.
Here are pics, sorry about the lousy indoor color balance, reflections & other elements of bad photography. It's the black/black model, maple neck and rw board with 5 knobs and 1 switch. PM with questions/etc...not looking for trades but might be swayed by something vintage.
Thanks.
Craig
