Low End Jazz 5 ash/maple white w/match HS

This is my first time with a LEJ, and wow am I impressed. As far as build quality, playability, and as another entry into the 'uber JBass with a B string' field, I put it up there with ANY Sadowsky I've owned, which include 6 metros and 4 NYCs. Just an amazing instrument.

I'd even go so far as to say that Brian's stuff at The Low End has a deeper and clearer B string. By a smidge yes, but it's there. I submit that the ultra cool and solid-feeling neck design contribute to this.

EQ is set up as a Stack Knob Jbass. Stacked Vol/Tone for each pickup, a stacked Bass/Treble knob, and then an active/passive switch. Set passive this bass is IME exactly like a passive Fender J, but with a killer B. The variations in the stack knob setup are truly endless.

This bass is in excellent shape, and with zero dings along the neck and only small ones on the body that don't even show up on camera. The frets are a little worn in the upper register, and would probably need to be worked on to get an ultra-low setup that doesn't buzz in the 17-21st frets. I have it set for 3/32nds measured underneath each string and top of last fret and NOT fretting the first fret. This is comfortably low for ME, and I should say that you CAN set it much lower with no fretbuzz in the lower positions, only on the 17-21st frets. FULL disclosure of course, and I'm confidant that most players would consider the setup I have to be 'medium low'.

Anyways, smoking bass, but I'd much rather have a 6 string. I'd prefer an outright sale, but will accept a trade plus cash on my end for the following basses:

Ken Smith 6'er neckthru, BT or BSR
FBass BN6

Anything else I'm not really interested in, but hey, worst I can say is 'no thanks sir/ma'am!!'

Really impressed with Brian's work here. I see a fretless in my future, and mabye even another 6 string.

I had a fretless LEJ for a while. Awesome. I just couldn't play it very well
