Hey all had this up a while back with the original neck, which is very good but unfortunately had a stripped nut at the truss rod that I have little knowledge of how to fix, so anyways still loved the body and tone from the pups so I got a ltd vintage p style neck slapped on some schaeller tuners ,the exact ones found on my mm basses put it on the body which suprisingly is a good snug fit and I had my Robbin back.
A true neck really shows how awesome this bass is, and now its playable.
I would surely call this a musicman killer, its tone really cuts through and the 2 band preamp that cut /boost by the way ,really steps up against my ray.The body is in great condition apart from 2 small random 3 mm drill holes in the back of the body ,not really noticable or deep but its there. It sports 2 double stacked single coils ,thus becoming humbuckers running through a nice 2 band preamp with a toggle switch for the pickups. Other than some light buckle rash on the back the body is very clean.
The neck I got from fretless wonder is from a vintage 204 bass I would assume, but has a real p width neck, trusss rod happily turns both ways and the frets are in immaculate condition ,looks like the neck was tooken off the bass and stored away and would be suprised if it has been played. The neck pocket is snug and parralel to the body I can assure it won't have wiggle room, again the tuners are schaellers that I actually had for sale for about 50 shipped but I knew I would someday need them and am very happy I kept them, they are great for the neck and keep the bass in tune as long as my mia ray.
Okk well for it to be worth it selling id like to at least get what I think all the parts are worth, think I've been on tb classifides long enough to know the value of most parts would like to ask 250.00 shipped to ur door paypaled will have pics very soon LL
