Folks,
This is truly a great bass, takes a great setup and sounds, well... great.
This is exactly the same older body style model that Bryan Beller and Adam Nitti play, and I can see why.

This is Mike's "Modern" 5 string J (M5). 18mm spacing, 24 frets, ash body, birdseye maple board, trans black quilt top with matching trans black stain on the headstock. It's got the Bart preamp option (just like Beller and Nitti) and his custom wound single-coils, which are among the quietest single-coil pickups I've heard. It's wired vol-blend, and of course has the passive bypass feature.
Here's the standard feature list from his site:
- Alder or Swamp Ash body with AAAAA Maple Top
- Graphite reinforced Maple neck
- Maple or Rosewood fingerboard
- 35" Scale length
- 24 fret two octive neck
- 12" radius fingerboard
- 1 -7/8" nut width
- Bone nut
- Chrome hardware
- Hipshot Ultralite tuners
- Aguilar or Bartolini Active tone circuit
- Custom Wound single coil pickups
- Aluminum bridge
- Options: Fretless Ebony fingerboard, Hum-canceling pickups, Black or Gold hardware
Below is an ok picture, I'll try to post up more later, but the bass is in really great shape. I won't say mint because it's got some fine surface swirl from normal player wear. I'll inspect it up closer later, but I don't think it's got any dings, nicks, dents, or anything like that anywhere on it, though.
Why? I'm moving more towards 34" scale basses in general these days, and I need to recoup some cash (so yeah, sorry, but no trades at this time.)
Great price: $1350 shipped/48, insured, paypal'd. No muss, no fuss, just like every deal with me.
