I have had this bass a little less than a year, and it is EXTREMELY painful for me to even consider selling it, but 7 months of unemployment and a severe cash crunch makes this a necessity. Here is a link to the original thread by Spencer Doren, selling this fantastic bass .... Custom Lull/Sadowsky jazz bass.
The bass is certainly very lightweight, thanks to its chambered Sadowsky body, and the neck is absolutely to die for (aren't all of Mike Lull's necks, though?) ... plus, it is PLEK'd by Mike. The Aguilar pickups and preamp give a good deal of tonal options, and when played in passive mode, it blows-away ANY Jazz-style bass I have ever played or heard. In addition, both Anthony Wellington and Gerald Veasley (friends and mentors/teachers of mine) have commented to me that this is the most-beautiful Jazz-type bass that either of them have ever seen. Anthony W. also loves its tone ... particularly in passive mode (Anthony has been my bass teacher since before I got this bass).
I paid $2,500 for this bass at Christmastime last year, and will sacrifice it for $2,250 $2,100 shipped in the continental USA to make a quick sale .... no trades please!
In addition to the numerous photos in the linked thread, I took some new pictures, which I will post here.

As much as I hate to sell this bass, I really need the cash. I've had a few feelers, and a trade offer, but as of today it is still available.
Just a brief word of caution -- I will be traveling on family business (sick mother, who is hospitalized) from this Saturday, 11/05 until Tues., 11/15. |

I really wish that I didn't have to sell this bass! (8 months of unemployment can have that effect). It is truly the nicest 4-stringer in our house (between my wife and me, we have five of them), and one of the nicest that I have ever owned in 45+ years of playing bass!!! |

Tough times we're living in. It's a beauty, and I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks. Hope you find a good home for it and I'll be praying you find a job!
