Lyrical Lumber Custom 5 String 35''/24Fret
This bass was finished in 2006 at by a luthier named Bill Covert and his crew at Lyrical Lumber in Maitland, Florida.
It has a five-piece sandwich body of walnut, zircote, mahogany, zircote, mahogany.
The neck is ten pieces in all if you include the zircote fretboard, which sits on top of a piece of mahogany. The rest of the neck is maple, zircote, maple, bubinga, bubing, maple, zircote, maple.
35'' scale with a string through body (butt), and reverse headstock.
Single Bartolini soapbar with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. This bass is EXTREMELY responsive and allows you to play with the lightest touch you can imagine.
The bridge is made of zircote, and is a fixed bridge.
There is a fairly new set of Ken Smiths on the bass, and it just had a fret dressing last week. Internal Straploks...will include a new set of dunlops.
This bass comes with a green Undercover Gig Bag. I had to replace ths zipper on it two years ago. It's in very good condition.
Let me know if you have any more questions. $1350+Shipping
Will trade for other 5 strings...
I think it looks great. There seems to be some type of patina, like 'rust' or something, to the top. I like it, but I would not have guessed walnut. It would be nice to have a closeup on the grain.
Beautiful bass. I can't buy it but would love more pics
Price drop by $200. Now entertaining trades.
That body looks absolutely spectacular. Good luck with the sale!
Some more pics of this great bass!
Bump! Will entertain any straight or +cash trade offers. I'm looking for another 5 string, amps, recording equipment...This bass was $2500 new and took a year to build. This thing is a steal at this price!
