Mørch 5-string fretless

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale, a Mørch 5 string fretless bass, neck-through, single cutaway, lined ebony board, Mørch pickups and preamp (18v). The finest workmanship I have ever seen and I have owned some nice basses over the years.

http://www.morch-guitars.dk/bass_gallery1.html

It is a 36'' scale. It felt good enough to me at the time to buy it. Over time however, I notice that it is a strain on my hands. I hate to part with the bass because it is exactly the look and sound that I have been looking for for the last decade, but the scale is an on-going issue that I can't seem to get beyond. I honestly do not think this would be a tough transition for a 35'' player; I have stubby fingers, but I would think a players with larger hands would be comfortable.

It is structurally perfect, no issues whatsoever with truss rod etc. It has a couple of slight cosmetic imperfections; a ding here and there, but nothing visible from 5 feet away ( a 9 out of 10).
I would like 1950. (shipped) for the bass, which is a very good deal for this instrument. Will ship in a decent Fender gig bag. For insurance purposes I recently looked up this bass with the appointments it has and it lists for ca. 4500. USD. If interested please PM me. Many thanks- JS

some more info

Some more info about this bass can be found on the original link: details about woods, pickups, preamp etc with good pics.

AMAZING Morch Singlecut 5 fretless (Mørch)

I did not purchase the instrument from cosmicevan, so apparently it had a stop between that purchaser and me. So, yes this instrument is a bit of a vagabond, still looking for a home. She is certainly deserving though- a fine piece of craftsmanship, just needs a player who can handle a larger scale.

partial trades considered

Interested in 34'' scale 5 and 6 strings, fretted or fretless (lined only). Also interested in considering EUBs. Cash either way as appropriate.
Interested in Alembic Epics, Ibanez Prestige, Bolt-on Thumb bass (broad neck), TRBs etc.
Thanks!

offers?

Like the Loch Ness monster, "Morky" is about to dive down into the murky bottom of the classifieds. Maybe she'll rise occasionally to see if the conditions are favourable for her. Shoot me reasonable offers- I would certainly consider a Turner Renaissance fretless, or even a Godin with some cash on your end. This Morch is a fantastic instrument, she just needs an owner with bigger hands.

We're back!

Ahhh spring, the birds are tweeting, the tiny buds have appeared on the tree limbs and all feels like renewal and resurgence!

Just the perfect time to send this thread back up to the top, a few trade nibbles but we remain. Let's make something happen!

Easter bump!

That's right, we now only bump for special occasions, holidays, birthdays etc. She's currently sporting La Bella tapewraps, warm, growly, and thumpy.
