This is a really clean Marcus Miller. The reason for the low price is a previous owner used it for BEAD tuning, rather then file the nut a little he just let it groove its own way in which resulted in totally making the nut slot sloopy for the E string. I got the bass and I set it up for E tuning and the ADG strings play great, low action , no fret buzz and the neck is fantastic but of course if you try to tune the E string to pitch it slips out. It needs a new nut. That said this is probably the lightest MM i have held , its gotta be aorund 9 pounds. No scale to get accurate but I have had my fair share of basses and I have only had 2 over 10 pounds and they were t40s
I have never put a nut on before so its something I rather practice on a cheaper bass or one not in as nice cosmetic condition, thus I was going to outsource it. I found a guy locally who will put in a nut for $25 and the nut is like $8. If I were to do that I would be asking more for the bass because at that point its totally functional and most MM's sell around $750-$800, rather then do this though I will post it at the certain price and maybe someone will pickup a deal and be able to fix it themselves on a lazy sunday.
Since the photos have been taken I was able to remove the nut, it came out nicely, no damage to the finish or binding so its ready to have a new nut cut and dropped in place.
Anways besides the nut its a 9/10 condition wise and plays really great. No case, will be packed with the neck off and packed well. $675 Shipped CONUS
-Local pickup for less.
Payment method would be MO , bank transfer or something along those lines we can discuss that
