Mayones Jabba Super Jazz Bass 5 string

Here is an awesome Polish hand made Jabba 5 Jazz bass in excellent condition. It's a real looker. Only real imperfections are a couple tiny dents near the input jack, light scratches on the pick guard and a small indentation on the side of the neck up past the 12th fret. Otherwise super clean. It plays beautifully and is stunning to look at. All of the notes are even and clear with a great low B.

This a finely crafted handmade Polish instrument that nails a modern jazz boutique look, feel, and sound. It includes an original deluxe Mayones gig bag.

Since the picture below the preamp has been replaced with an Audere 6Z and pickups have been replaced with Delano hum canceling jazz pickups. (I do still have the original preamp and Duncan single coil Jazz pickups.) Killer tone flexibility with the Audere and Delano's.

$1900 shipped CONUS.

Interested in trades for 5 string instruments.

Here's an original picture with original preamp and Duncan pickups. I'll post more photos soon.

More eye candy.

Here I'm trying to show the tiny dings near the input jack.

Here I'm trying to show the slight indentation near the 12th fret. Hard to see but it's there.

Beautiful grain and curves.

What was the original pre?

How much does it weigh?

What is the scale length?

Original pre was the proprietary Mayones "Gregory" preamp with 2xVolume, 1xTre/Bass (stack), 1xPassiveTone, 1xActive/Passive miniswitch. I still have this preamp if buyer is interested. I also have the stock Duncan single coil pickups.

I'm not with the bass right now to weight it but I'm going to guess 10 lbs. range.

34" scale.

Thank you.

Thank you. She's a beauty and a tone monster.

I'm hoping these basses catch on quick enough, I have one on here as well and people that don't know really don't have any idea how versatile these things are. Aesthetics, feel, fit and finish and tone...really great basses for the price point.

scubaduba 01-03-2013 03:52 PM

Thanks. If you are looking for a killer Jazz bass this is it. Incredibly versatile and a serious good looker. Neck and finger board feel awesome.

I'm just really looking for a P/J config right now or more of a dual humbucker type.

These are as nice as they look.

I've seen these a lot recently, a few of the more djenty bands are using them. They are beautiful and from what I've heard, they sound awesome.

GLWTS bump!

Great looking bass!

scubaduba 01-12-2013 12:54 PM

More pics when it was brand new with original pre/pickups. Now its even more versatile and funky with Audere and Delano's.

I'm interested..... is it 19mm spacing? What is the weight?

scubaduba 01-15-2013 03:20 PM

Yes. 19mm. Weight is probably a little over 10 lbs. Nice body shape and excellent balance.
