MIJ '62 reissue P-Bass for sale

Oh, my... it's a sad say for Gbass75.

Just posted my advert for my Epi Elite T-Bird...

and, now, the P-Bass, too!

But, hey! ...I've got a new baby boy, so... well... you know.

So this is an early 90's MIJ for the Japanese market '62 P-bass... ordered from Japan on eBay, and sent here to good ol' California.

She's got some bumps and bruises... a few cracks in the finish here and there... but, this didn't matter to me; as I wanted an instrument that looked somewhat aged.

As soon as I got her, she went over to my man Geoff at SF Guitarworks for some SERIOUS work!

It originally came only with a super-gross red tortoise pickguard. Needless to say, that was quickly yanked! I also replaced the typical incorrect and sub-par "vintage" tuning machines with vintage reverse tuners. I also added the brown tortoise pickguard, as well as a rosewood thumbrest, and the bridge and pickup covers.

And finally, the last and best mod... pulled out those crusty pickups, and dropped in a sweet set of Lollars. Goddamn! They sound good!!!

Needless to say, a proper setup and a new set of Rotosound Flats was thrown into the mix.

I don't have a proper Fender case... but a nice tolex that more than does the job. It's included... unless, of course, you don't want it.

All in all, I'm asking $700 (including shipping).

I have a '91 MIJ '62 Reissue P-bass in sunburst that i've had since '95. love it! replaced the bridge, tuners and pickups and pulled the pickguard off completely (put on a control plate), but it looks sweet with a white guard. put flats on mine, too. very Motown.

blad blah blah: free bump for the 1st 90's MIJ '62 Reissue i've seen in here after lurking a long while. g/l with the sale. i'm curious what it will go for.
