MIJ Fender 62 RI P w/J neck

Sign in to disble this ad
Early 90's body is flawless or darned close to it. Bridge has been replaced with a Hipshot which is currently my 'go to' bridge. Pickup is an ancient old Sadowsky. Brings the thump and bump!

Neck is a 2010 Highway One J neck. Tuners are stock but there are extra holes where the previous owner was experimenting. I can fill those or you can. Either way it's a simple thing.

The setup is outstanding with fresh Chrome flats.

Mint guard.

This has been my backup for about a year I have a couple of gigs on it where I took it to just to see. My 83 P with J neck is staying home and I clearly don't need a backup... Thought I did anyway...

$525 plus shipping

NOTE: Pics show a Vintage Vibe pickup installed with mis matched knobs. This will ship with the Sadowsky installed and matched barrel knobs. (The VVG is a coil tapping prototype and the only pot I could find for the push pull was a split shaft. Cool pickup! But the Sadowsky is a real gem!)

This one plays as good as it looks!

Trades ? Sure... hit me up but... I will be picky...

a few questions ...

1.) weight? (approximate, if you don't have actual weight)

2.) Is there a case or quality gig bag included?

3.) Is that body color candy apple red???

Thanks, ... Doug ("funkyjudge")

I could go a bunch of directions. A Heartfield 4, something Music Man (though not a SUB), Godin fretless, Sennheiser 421 mics, Guitar amp. lakland 44-02, 55-01 or 02 cash up or down of course...

9 lbs bathroom scale method

We can work out a Tolex case.

3.) Is that body color candy apple red???

Car indeed. The first Fender I ever played... Back in High School. Was a 62 P. Car and Rosewood. I was in love but the neck was too honkin huge. I've generally played P's with J necks for a long, long time... I do so little electric music now that my piezo basses get all the work.

Thanks, ... Doug ("funkyjudge")
The Yammy 5... Is a maybe. I would have to know more. My real issue with this bass is that it is more a less a duplicate of another in my stable. More useful to have a broader pallet of tones to work from for me...

Float like a butterfly ...

If I hadn't gotten the point accross, I'm fairly open trades wise.

I'll take it!

Perfect. PM'd and I'll take her if those terms are acceptable...

BTW, I believe this may be Candy Cola, if that color was available in '93. If not, then it's a darker CAR and is a very nice color.

Well, I have to replace my Milly and Helms! I've found out that I NEED 2 basses, no way to play just one and I LOVE skinny necks. I just hope that Charvel can handle BEAD strings, which it should. The pull from BEAD compared to EADG shouldn't be a big difference.
