MIJ Precision Bass with Hipshot and Fralin

Sign in to disble this ad
So with my final bill to get my G&L SB-1 out of the shop - I have to let this bass go.

I assembled it last year. It's all MIJ parts with all hipshot hardware (has a brass b-style bridge now) , detuner, and a fralin pickup now (Fralin has some rusting on the poles.)

No need to mod - as this bass is already at the top of the heap in terms of parts.

Great condition - only one ding 3 inches from the butt strap pin.

Plays great - ships with flats.

Here's the build thread My new "parts bass" (Fender Japan content)

Right now it has a black PG - but you'll get the Tort PG as well.

Ideally I'd like to ship this one in a case as all I have is a gig bag. If you are interested - I'll buy an SKB case to ship at your expense - or you can buy or ship a case to me and I'll turn it around with the bass.

I'll also ship in the gig bag heavily bubble wrapped too.

$450 plus shipping in CONUS

Body is 100% alder. It's a 62 reissue body from japan. the neck is a 70s MIJ reissue.

Please read the thread - the whole BOM for the bass as well as the prices for the cost of components are there.

I hope someone jumps on this - because I need to get my G&L out of the shop.

good looking bass and I am sure it sounds great too. A question in the build thread you mention something about screws in the neck pocket - was that taken care of or was that a problem at all?

thanks

Action is great - nice and low - not too low.

FWIW - I always played it with flats.

It's hard to tell the quality of the finish from the pictures. Is it the original paint or has it been redone? If its a refinish, does it look glossy and smooth? Any dents/dings?
thanks

Finish is original and great - it's only from 2007.

There is a ding on the butt of the bass mentioned above.
