MIJ violin-body bass (project)

Here's a cheap project bass for someone. I posted a thread in "Basses" about this when I got it, thinking it had major/unfixable neck issues. Turns out it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was basically given this bass by a friend who knew I might want to mess around with it, though I ended up giving him some cash for it later (because I knew he needed it). It's some kind of Made in Japan Hofner copy.

Short version of the story: someone carved away part of the neck heel and had a weird shim in it when I got it, which made me think the screws were stripped. Removed the shim, screwed it back on. Looks ugly around the heel, but it seems to attach fine.

This bass is sold COMPLETELY AS-IS. I have only strung it up and plugged it in to verify that it worked. It may need lots to make it regularly usable. I don't know of any fatal flaws, but I also don't know the bass very well. Has one replaced tuner (it works), has lots of finish cracks and dings, etc. No returns, no guarantees.

Please ask any questions you might have. I'm just looking to raise a little bit of cash. So this is $75 shipped to continental US. I will remove the neck to pack it, although I'll throw in the strings that are currently on it.

Two other things: it does say "Made in Japan" on the neckplate, and in the last photo above, that crack is in the finish only. No structural damage.

Also, I might be tempted to trade this plus cash for other interesting basses, or maybe Fender parts.

Just bumping this up for any potential trades. I'm just not a Beatle-bass kind of guy, but I'd consider trading this for other beater/project basses. Hollowbodies with different body shapes, old P copies, etc. Please PM with any questions or offers.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

The bridge is floating. Don't have any idea if it's original or not. And the pickup size: don't really know. Haven't ever examined a real Hofner.
