Mike Lull P5 with case F/S

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!!!

I have a mint-condition Mike Lull P5 for sale. Specs are:

Alder Body
Rosewood Fretboard
Sunburst finish, tortoiseshell pickguard
Nordstrand NP5 pickup
Buzz Feiten Tuning System
35" scale

I upgraded the pickups and had the tuning system installed after I purchased the bass.

The bass has all of the quality and attention to detail that you'd expect from Mike Lull's shop. It's an absolutely stunning instrument both sonically and visually. I'm selling the bass with the original Mike Lull Custom hard case made by G&G.

$1650 shipped OBO.

Either reply to this ad or call/text me at (770) 789-0776

Thanks!

Nice bass! NP5's rock!

Boo on all the craigslist-esque tags/spam keywords...

And you have to post a price as per the rules-o-the-forum.

Hey guys,

Yea.. Sorry about the tags, bdgotoh was right. I copied my CL ad.

Oops, I thought I included the price. $1700 is correct. I'll add that to the posting now.

Not interested in trades, sorry!

How much of a difference did the Nordy Pups make? Weight?

The Nordy pups made a big difference. The Duncans that Lull uses as stock don't really nail the vintage p bass sound. The NP5's do. They nail the clarity and hollow grind thing that I love about old p basses.

As far as the weight, I actually don't know that. I'm probably the only Angeleno without a bathroom scale I can say that the bass is a good bit lighter than my 70's P, which is a little over 9lbs.

I'm not sure I'm ready for this yet, but looking into Lull P's.

Have any audio clips? How does the Nord P compare to the Lindy Frailin? I played a 4 string Lull P with the LF yesterday and it was my favorite.

It's a great bass, you should buy it!

The Nordy P sounds a lot like the Fralin/Lollar family of pickups. It's the closest 5 string P pickup to that that I've heard. Great hollow grind, nice definition, just the right amount of growl with plenty of bottom.

The only audio clip I have of it is actually a video on YouTube. I played bass on a live record at a church in Atlanta, and this is one of the videos from that night. Great sound quality. I'm using flatwound strings on this recording, so keep that in mind.
