I'm hopping off the teeter-totter - I've been going back and forth on this one, but in the end, I think I just won't use it enough to warrant keeping it. Someone please help me find it a good home! Here's the last thread I opened for this sale and little has changed. Please no trades and no low-balls - cash is king.
Reposting the details: - Mike Lull V4 #278 (late-90s)
- (upgraded) reverse-P Lindy Fralin pup at the neck
- (upgraded) Aguilar OBP-1 preamp w/ 18V
- Volume, Volume, Tone w/ push-pull active, Treb/Bass (stacked)
- Dunlop Straplocks or original Schallers (default is Dunlops)
- Original rectangular hard/soft case
To be clearer than the last thread, this has had a full neck and electronics setup from Mike Lull his very self, so it plays like an absolute champ. This is a killer bass, especially for someone who can bump it to the top of their instrument rotation.
Asking $1525 $1425 $1400 $1350 shipped CONUS. PayPal is fine, though we can certainly talk other options. Special deal alert - Mike cuts half the price off a Plek job on a pre-Plek Lull instrument (which this is), so if you want me to take it over there before shipping it, I'll make it happen. The 1/2-price Plek is $135 (incl $10 final setup), plus the cost of strings if you want new ones, + tax (heck, I'll cover the tax). Just let me know if you want to go this route. Beats shipping it back to Bellevue on your own dime.
Finally, some better pics (not great, but at least they're fresh ):
The big dings:
Just next to the bottom-left pup screw (excuse the dust ):

EDIT: You know, I'd really prefer a cash sale for this, but I could probably make use of a powered cab like a Bergantino IP112 or IP310 (prefer the 12 for space reasons).

I was just playing this last night through my Cafe Walter HA-1A and really started to have misgivings about this thread. I realized recently (in a major "duh" moment ) that the OBP-1 is boost only, so I turned everything down to zero and started making small changes here and there to see what came out. One of the most killer settings is both pickups full with a little added bottom - great balance between thump and high-mid "crank" (hard to describe, but you know it when you hear it). I also discovered that either pickup solo'd with a tiny bit of added bottom is sweetness, too. Maybe I'll try to get a recording one of these days, if I can find someone else to play it.
TL;DR - this thread may go away (again), so jump on the sale if you're interested.

Lull's are usually pretty comfortable weight-wise.

@GrooveWarrior, I don't have enough experience with a standard P bass to make a judgment on that. I suppose that's one good reason to make a recording.
Action and playability are excellent after Mike's setup - very fun to play right now with minimal buzz.

Still looking for a powered cab, since I have a preamp that I like, but I'd also consider combo amps or rack rigs. Worst I'll say is, "No thanks."
