MIM Fender P/J Precision bass-CowPoke.
This is known as a cowpoke , it is mexican made in 1994. The neck has gotten a nice tint to it over the years. The frets are in good shape, the neck is in nice shape. No dings on the back but a few around the headstock. The body overall is pretty clean. There are small chips one where your forearm rests and another on the back. There are some other scuffs but for a 20 year old bass its pretty nice.
It needs strings bad. These strings are thrashed, old, dirty, G string from another set etc. Most people want to pick their own set out anyways when they get a new bass so I didnt think putting new strings on it and raising the price was necessary.. The action could use adjustment. It plays fine with no fret buzz but some tweaks like lowering the saddles may make it play a little better. The truss rod turns with ease and the neck adjusts nicely but I think its been awhile since anyone has given it a nice set up. Just needs a general clean up as stated, strings, a little dust removal as it been sitting a bit, and set the action to you're preference.
Nut measures less than a tradational P bass, but not quite 1.5"- truly feels somewhere in between.Stacked pickup blend/volume (neck end) and stacked treble/bass (bridge end) Active, w/o being overpowering. Bridge pup has the traditional fender noise when your not playing, but not noticeable once you start playing, regardless of volume.
No case but well packed.
$350 Shipped or I will keep it. No trades I rather keep the bass then swap it as these are hard to find .
Thats a good price, you wont have trouble moving this one - especially in a burst finish.

these are so under appreciated. much better than std MIM stuff. play great sound pretty good too. kubicki preamp is nice
I really like the neck its perfect in width and thickness , if it was 20 frets and not 22 I would be keeping the neck for a project and selling the body, I just dont like sunbursts.
I have had 3 CL flakes on this one, oh the joys of CL.
Just strung with a new set of daddario's.
lol sold locally.
My 7th thing this month that sold local before Tb
