Almost Mint Sunburst 1973 Fender Precision

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a real nice sunburst 1973 Fender Precision bass with maple fretboard avaialble - 100% original. I am the second owner. I have a 1965 and a 1966 P bass, so this one is not getting played.
Because it is so nice, for an outright sale, I am asking $2500 shipped (international shipping as available if you pay the shipping). I would also consider trades for a Sadowsky NYC, mint vintage Music Man bass, etc.

The first owner did swap the strap buttons for locking strap buttons. I don't think I have the originals. Pups, pots, tuners, finish, pick guard, case are all original.

Man! If it was a jazz I could be trading my Sadowsky NYC for it!

Today may be a very good day to buy a vintage Fender. I have just made a deal on a couple of high end acoustics. Talk to me.

Will entertain trades for either older Fender basses in good shape (I will add cash) or for Pre Ernie Ball Music Man Stingrays (you will add cash). No other trades please unless some one has Phil Jones PA for a trade.

I played the bass last night. It is a real nice playing bass - great sustain. The other players (it was a jam) commented on how light the bass is. It does have some black coated strings on it that don't do it for me.

Is the bridge a little crooked, or is it just the pic?

You have better eyes than mine, D Bopp. I does appear to be just a little off. I had never noticed that before. It does not appear to effect the playability of the bass. Also for those who asked, the bass weighs 8 lbs 3 oz.
