This would be wonderful for someone with medium/smallish hands and body.
Check out this [narrow] neck size:
1 3/4" at nut, 2 3/8" at 24th fret. 34.5" scale!
String spacing: 9.5mm at nut, 15mm at bridge -2 3/8" spacing from B-G at saddles.Compare to 17-19mm for most modern 5 strings.

All original hardware, active electronics(one 9 volt.).
Tuners are Grove-style - no slop, hold very well, seem to be a high ratio. I played this bass a few weeks in a row at my church so I can personally vouche for it's stability.

Fantastic tone on this one - nice solid, punchy bottom, very "present" mid-highs and upward, without being whiny. The longish scale(compared to neck width) helps there.
I believe it is a mahogany body - light but great sustain. Excellent cutaway and curvature, nice against the body and the wrist in front(no irritating corner, tapers away from pickups. I come up with about 7.5 lbs.

Quality 5 piece neck construction (7 if you counted the small wings on headstock) - the center strip of maple is properly lap/finger jointed between 1st and second fret - making it super strong and stable. That extra step is often neglected - yet so important for a narrow neck. Accessible, unstuck torsion bar under stylish original cover. Action is medium-low, no issues with this one at all. All intonated nicely. No fret wear and no buzzes - it's obviously led a ridiculously sheltered life. Finish has no dings, chips or gouges. No belt rash. The very midlest of superficial rubs and such. Rosewood fingerboard has no chips, wear or cracks - freshly oiled. Nice abalone side dots and [off-set] markers on the fretboard.

The color is just off white with a little pearlyness. Will ship in new, black, Musician's Friend hardshell case. Schaller straplocks(black) - I will supply the mating pieces for your strap.

This all original Vester bass is a blast - looks like it fell out of a time machine!! Vester was a company that made high-quality knock-offs of name brand instruments. Some stores A/B-ed them right next to the name brands - the Vester was 2/3 the price. There is a site in Denamrk dedicated to Vesters - this one dates at 1988-1989.

$325 (firm) including shipping CONUS. Figure the shipping as $25 of price, so outside CONUS would have to pay difference beyound the first $25.
