As I was taking those pictures, I had second thoughts about putting this up for sale, but I have two others and it simply does not make sense to keep it.
Up for sale is a mint Yamaha BB1000MA in Green. The BB1000MA and the BB3000MA were the basses that Yamaha and Michael Anthony (Van Halen, Chickenfoot) designed together. The differences are that the BB1000MA is Indonesian-made, with a bolt-on neck, while the BB3000MA, way more expensive, is made in Japan and has a neck through design.
These basses were discontinued around 3 years ago, so you won't be able to find many of those around, and you'd be hard pressed to find one in a better condition. It weighs only 8.77 lb (or 3.978 kg).
The BB1000MA comes stock with Ping hardware, but I upgraded this one to the exact same hardware that is in the most expensive version. It now has Hipshot tuners (HB1), a Hipshot D-Tuner (BT1) and a Gotoh 201 Bridge.
It has an amazing tone. The electronics are exactly the same in both versions of the Michael Anthony bass, so if you have heard him, you have heard this bass. It plays like a dream. As most of my basses, it was professionally set up at Bass Emporium.
It has never seen a gig. I bought as NOS and did the upgrades myself. Check the pictures out:

Here's the deal:
$475 shipped CONUS. I also have the regular HB1 tuner for the E string, which is included.
But if you don't want the HBT1 Detuner, I can keep it and sell the bass for only $425.
I am not looking for trades, unless it is a Carvin SB or a Lakland (with cash coming from me of course).
Thanks for looking!
