Minty Inca Silver Lakland Skyline HB/hsc/candy

Sign in to disble this ad
Second owner, minty (discontinued) Inca Silver Lakland Skyline Hollowbody, original hard shell case, paperwork and allen wrenches.
Mahogany body mated to a maple top. Fit, finish and playabilty are exemplary, 34" scale stain finished neck is 1.6" width, with a little more depth and falls easily to hand.
Bought it ~3 years ago; unsed it minimally since then.
The Bart dual coils provide big phat woody hollowbody sound in dual coil mode, and very similar to the new Lakland Decade Chi-Sonic Singles in single coil mode. The coil taps, pickup selectro and volume/tone controls for each pickup give this bass a wide, wide tonal pallette.
Currently wearing new nickel rounds, stock Lakland flats included.

from lakland:
"The Lakland Hollowbody is the result of our collaboration with master bass guitar builder, Michael Tobias. The Hollowbody is constructed of two precision-carved pieces of fine tone wood - mahogany for the back and maple for the top and neck. The fingerboard is fashioned from rosewood. The resonant voice of the bass' cavity is faithfully reproduced by passive Chi-Sonic Humbuckers.

The Hollowbody provides a range of robust tones that more than match the bass' gorgeous appearance. The Hollowbody has a firm, punchy attack that is lacking in most hollow basses and maintains its focus well into a sustain.

From deep, authoritative notes reminiscent of an upright to aggressive and throaty sounds capable of cutting through as a solo voice, the Hollowbody is responsive, with a solid tonal center that many hollow basses lack.''
