Modded Lakland 55-01 - Nordstrand Dual Coils / Aguilar OBP-3

Sign in to disble this ad
I got this in trade with the Man, the Myth, the Legend, Danny R., and put in the Nordstrands and the OBP-3, but I find myself needing some cash, and this is the only bass I haven't bonded much with yet...

The bass was made in Korea, and is in great shape. I just recently got a B/W/B pickguard from Jeannie's for it, but it's not even mounted yet. The fit is good enough that I haven't even put double sided tape on it to keep it in place!

The OBP-3 is configured for a Push/Pull on the volume pot for active/passive, and another Push/Pull pot on the mids to select the frequency.

Price on the bass is $900 and will come with a gig bag.

Matt - dude...don't even start with me!

dlvalure - it really IS a killer bass, and the more I play it, the more I'm having a gut check, but my Skjold CUTS. Like...razor sharp cuts through a mix for me, so I have a differing view. I keep thinking that maybe just putting in some switches for Parallel/Single/Series settings might make me happy, but the bottom line is that I've gotten fickle after as many basses as I've owned.

It's a curse.

I do not believe so. The basses are currently made in Indonesia if memory serves me correctly, and this one was made in Korea. They did not start PLEKing the basses till '08 or so I believe. One of the LOG guys should be able to answer that.

I cannot believe there isn't more interest in this bass! Maybe it's a sign to just hang on to it...

This is a real beauty - and I love those Nordy pups! They have the perfect combination of cut and warmth... If you don't need to sell it, and no one's biting, then the Gods are saying play this mofo!

To a 35" scale ash/maple bass with Nordstrand Dual Coils and an OBP-3?

I'm not really sure of a good answer to your question. Sorry!

Is it wired for series or parallel as it is?
