Modulus FB4 Flea bass. This is a year 2000 model, Inca Silver with matching headstock. (Classic silver, not the big sparkles some Fleas have.) Has the Bartolini preamp and pickup. And that awesome modulus graphite neck.
Very flexible tones, including a fat blues sound, a classic 80's music-man funk sound, some dave mathews mid-range, and that sharp slappy sound kids today seem to like.
This is a great bass, but I just bought another fancy bass, and can't justify owning them both. I have had several people pick it up and say 'this is the best bass I have ever played!' I have had a lot of other basses, and nobody ever said that before. (Maybe they will say it about my new bass, a nice Lull I got from a fellow TBer.)
NOTE: This bass is not mint, but it is clean and looks pretty new. Close inspection will reveal a few tiny marks here and there, but not bad for an 11-year-old bass (nothing that will show up in a picture). The one bummer is that the bottom strap peg is jammed into the body, like it was dropped on it. I got 3 quotes to fix it ranging from 75$ to 150$, but I left it as-is; it's in there real solid and the strap still goes on OK.
I am really hoping for a local sale so you can see it and play it before buying.
