Modulus Quantum 5

Hate to do it, but I have to sell my Modulus.
This is a 1999 Quantum 5 in very good condition. The color is a transparent dark cherry. Looks even nicer (and darker) in person. Has Bartolini pickups and preamp. Extremely versatile bass. Killer tone! Anyone in the NYC area is welcome to come by and give her a test drive.
Feel free to ask any questions...

There's a tiny chip in the paint (the size of an ant) near the input jack. This was played a lot, so there are some small scratches in the finish and a little belt buckle rash. Overall its still in very good condition.
I will try to get more detailed pics up soon...

Yes it's a 35"
I've been playing my 4 string Jazz alot, and while I love practically everything about Modulus, it now trips me up because of its narrower string spacing. So, I'm planning on getting a nice 5 string jazz so I can go back and forth without any problems.
I realize I'll be giving up some advantages that the Modulus has...(better B string, 24 frets, access to the upper register, clarity, etc...) but I think it'll be a better fit for me right now.

I promise whoever gets this bass will be extremely happy! It is a monster.

That is a good price to me. I have a 2004 Q 5 and it's a great bass. All Quantum's are 35" scale & most are Bart/Bart configs.

Mine:

Feel sad for you having to sell it. I love how stable these basses are, especially living in the north east. Good luck!

Yeah, its amazing how solid and stable this thing is on tours! I'll probably regret selling it...but you can't have it all!

Gorgeous...
Mod makes Q's in 34" scale. They started showing up on Planetbass 6 months ago (something like that.)
