So, I am sure that some may have read how delighted I was to have found myself in the possession of another Quantum 5. So, the idea of selling may seem odd. But here's the deal:
There is a bass out there on the market that I REALLY want to take shot at, and it is at a price point that I can't absorb without parting with something. (Familiar story, I am sure) I also recently bought a Dingwall ABII. So, having only two basses right now, it is between the Q5 and the Dingwall. Because of the recent studio experiences I have had with the Dingwall (and the fact that I bought it new and would lose my shirt!) it wins by a nose.
So, up for sale is the Modulus. I have not spent a great deal of time with it, but I have played it enough to know it is pure Q! I played another one for almost 10 years, and there are things about this one I actually prefer.

- Black Cherry Velvet quilted maple top over alder
- 35" scale graphite neck with Phenolic FB
- Aguilar OBP-3 three band preamp
- Bartolini Soapbar pickups
- Black hardware
- 2007 model (with relief adjust)
- Weight unsure but over 9 lbs. I will make every effort to confirm exact weight ASAP
This bass is near mint. There is only some light swirling that is common with any clear coat finish. There are no chips or other blemishes at all. The bass will ship in a BRAND NEW (like just out of the box this week) original Modulus HS case. I ordered for the bass not expecting to put it on the market
This is a chance for someone to get a Q5 that is as nice as any new one that they will find for at least $1,000 less. It sounds great and plays amazing, just as you would expect from a Quantum. Intonation and setup is perfect!

As stated, I am selling this with ONE particular bass in mind. I will politely decline any trade offers, partial payment offers or anything else short of a straight sale. Further, if I can't get my asking price then I can't afford the bass I want, and number two in line is THIS ONE!! So, I'll be keeping it.
