Modulus stealth black VJ

Bought this recently from a fellow TB'er. Then I managed to find a fretless I really enjoy more 2 weeks ago. While the other bass is more worn and beaten, does not look nearly as screaming cool as this black beauty, it's just what I need.
This Modulus is in near new shape, slight tiny bit of wear on the board, has black flats on it, a nice warmer tone, very easy to play.

Comes with everything Kinetic sold it to me with.
I'm glad I tried the bass, if you like Jazz style fretless basses, this will really be a good instrument for you and about 1000$ off the new price.

2012 Fretless Modulus VJ
Alder Body
Satin Neck
Matte Black Pickguard
Black Hardware
Babicz Full Contact Hardware Bridge
Bartolini 9CBJS L3/S3 Single Coil Pickups
Passive Volume/Volume/Tone
Strung with D'Addario Black Tapewound 50-105, Long Scale
Original Hardshell Case w/ Case Candy (Wrenches, Brochures, etc.)

I'll get pics up later on.

1575$

Well, as it often is.....you find what you think is perfection, then..........a beaten up older bass comes along and it was everything I've really liked over the decades.

The look of this bass is awesome. The full black look is just sick.
Like my Flea basses, this one plays effortlessly, and the black flats sound very warm and smooth. You'd never know this is a graphite neck from the tone. Pretty buttery sound.

I like actives on the fretless basses, many do not. So I would need to have added perhaps an Aguilar OPE-2 or something in there. Then I would need to put round wounds on it also.

Yes, I can play around with the rig and amp, but....for how I like to play, best to offer it back and give it a home that it deserves.
I have set a limit on my bass colectoritis disease at 5 instruments. So one needs to go to a good home.

I'm glad I bought this one and had a chance to play it. It was certainly worth it either way.

No worries man, I totally get it, but glad you had the chance to play it as well. It's a phenomenal bass. You should have heard it with the Delano pickups and J-Retro installed

I had a passive odd electronic VJ fretted and what seriously thinking about defretting it, so when this came up, well......but I wanted a harsher splatty sound. I could have modified it to get this, but I found a nice bass that did the job from the harsh splat to the warm and fat. It's just easier and wiser to go this route than retrofitting.

This black stealth look is just amazing to look at though.
