FT/FS Moon JJ-Bass *PRICE DROP* Handcrafted walnut, ebony, Gorgeous! Many pics

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello To All,

A GAS item has come up, so I have dropped the price on this bass... Think Sadowsky, Alleva-Coppolo, Nordstrand, Lull on this one! Its that good!

I have here a pretty rare and very special bass. This is a Japanese hand made Moon bass, JJ model. This bass predates when PGM took over the company. These older versions of the Moon bass are just super sweet to play, made from top notch wood and superior handmade craftsmanship.

-Walnut Body
-Ebony fingerboard
-Brass nut
-Gold Kluson style tuners, straplocks, and gold hardware
-Blackbird preamp (Vol., Vol., Bass Boost/Cut, Treble Boost/Cut)
-Single Coil Pickups
-Mid range boost pot, located within the bass.
-weighs in at a comfortable 9.4 lbs.
-very well balanced
-the BEST neck I have ever felt on a bass, satin finish, a breeze to play

Check out Larry Graham here, on his Moon Signature model

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2_SreKsg2k

Also check out the group T-Square here...really nails the sound of this bass. (although I believe he plays a 5 string model here)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVk-CW_rc2Y

Alright, I am open to the idea of partial trades on this bass. Let me know what you've got, but I'd like to see a little money on my end....1600 NOW ONLY 1200 Shipped w hardcase I accept PayPal as well. I can ship out of the country, but it will be extra...Please contact me.

These are rare and are not sold in the US, and they haven't had the Blackbird pre in years. I am sort of looking for an excuse to keep this gem..if you can meet the price, I'll sell, but if not, I am MORE than OK with Keeping her. This is a rare catch, so don't sleep on it.

Thanks for posting those vids!...

Actually, I had never really listened to T-Square either until I got this bass and started to do some research.

Even though he's playing a fiver, its a decent enough video so you can understand the sound and awesome power of this bass. These basses are seriously underrated, mostly cause most people haven't heard of them.

Thanks man...it is a great bass, but things are a bit slow on the boards...too few dollars chasing after too many fine basses.

Someone asked for a shot of the control cavity. Super professional work, quiet as a mouse, even with single coils.
