Moon JJ5 Jazz bass (rare)

This a premium made in japan Jazz bass for all you slap-happy folks out there! Great playing bass capable of such low action. The neck is dead straight, deadspot-free and the lows are drop-dead amazing. I poo you not. This is one bass where the lows don't drop out and my soundman loves it. The Ebony board compresses nasty peaks for slappers. And yes, its an Ash body (you'll see in the pictures). The bass has been played, earning scuffs and some finish scratches. There is a picture showing a paint crack on the upper horn strap button. Apparently from an over-zealous ex-owner who tightened the strap button too forcefully. The crack isn't serious and it doesn't show any wood. I have to let this go because I hardly play 5'vers and I'm only going to keep my BN5.

The bass is equipped with an old Bartolini XTCT preamp with a trim pot to adjust some mids thing (I'm not really sure what it is). It is possible to wire it up to a 3-band EQ setup, but the bass current has Vol, Vol, Bass, Treb.

Some info from the manufacturer's site: http://translate.google.com.sg/trans...ial%26hs%3DWv8

Some clips from the band T-square (bassist Mitsuru Sutoh) to drool on:

The string spacing is pretty wide. Seems to be 19mm. Scale length is a 35" with a Jazz bass feel when strapped on.
