MPG Level 5 P/MM Nordstrand unique paint

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is my Matt Pulcinella Level 5.
This was Matt's fiver before I bought it off him, he uses a black 4 banger with the same setup.
Nordstrand NP-5 in the neck position
Nordstrand MM 5.4 at the bridge (hum free with dummy coil)
Maple neck with birdseye maple board
34 inch scale
Controls are vol, vol, tone, 3 way pickup selector and coil tap switch for the MM bucker (front coil, both parallel, rear coil).
This bass is passive but previously had a preamp installed so there's a battery compartment ready if you wish to install an onboard pre.
Neck is very comfy and well executed, rounded edges, no protruding fret wire. The bridge is set pretty far back and the overall reach to first position is less than a Fender style instrument.
Unique primary color ''paint spill'' dye with a satin semi-gloss finish, very beautifully done, will appeal to some and less to others.
Nut is 1 inch 11/16, string spacing 18mm at bridge.
Very comfy and capable of a wide array of passive sounds, it killed with a sadowsky preamp but I prefer passive and EQ'ing my amp.
Asking 1250$ plus shipping to North America.

I own 3 of Matts basses, and they are without a doubt, the most comfortable basses you'll ever play.I remember seeing this one right after he finished it. Very unique to say the least! Up for trades?

Forgot to mention this bass is quite light,
Not sure of the exact weight but it's noticeably lighter than my Fender that comes in at 10 pounds flush
so I'm estimating around 8.5 pounds tops.
