MTD's for Trade or Sale $325 EACH!!!

For sale shipped to the lower 48---
Price Drop!!
PRICE DROP ONE MORE TIME: $325.....MAY 3-- Hey, just take them both for $600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two,two---for the price of one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got a 2000 Korean Heir in Pearl Red up for grabs.

(I also have this same bass in flamed tobacco sunburst......one pickup in about 9.5 condition and all original.....well it has pearl knobs to match the pickguard.)

I guess I'll start with specs.......most of you prob know these already.
35 " scale......5 string.........clear and low B.
Basswood body--Weighs about 8 lbs........unbelievably light.
Rosewood board---frets and neck are in good shape.

The neck has a slighter slimmer profile than most of these.....by far the easiest to play of any that I have owned.
(I've had about 5 of these I think) You will be amazed at how easy it is to play.

Ultra low action.........clear as a bell. Slappers will be in Heaven!!

Black Hipshot bridge.
Nordstrand 5.2 pickup I think..........it is not splittable as far as I know.

Has some wear and tear.......nothing thru the paint except a small scratch on one side by the control knobs and a tiny speck on the other side. Front and back are really good. (see pix) The headstock has a chip or two missing paint.

.
Only trade is for a Carvin B series or a Lakland Jazz.......4 or 5 strings.

This a quality bass with a neck that is much better than anything in its price range--(this neck is better than any of the newer KZ's Heirs, etc.).............it's also light-(8 lbs) ......upgraded to a Nordstrand pickup.......make me an offer!!??? You can complete the mod with a pre-amp of your choice!

This is a year 2000 Korean made bass.........if you like Pearl Red........and I do.......it's beautiful.........you can always remove the pickguard..........it's red underneath also.

I'm completely open to offers, trades, questions, etc????????????
Even if it's criticism---how you hate basswood basses!!!!...........talk to me!!!
This bass rings and rings..........it doesn't have a sustain problem.
The neck is just too wide for my smaller hands.

PS Forgot to mention.........strap buttons are Schaller.

Well start with Low,low action and this neck has a slimmer profile than other basses in this series..........I don't know why---- maybe a slip of the CNC machine? the Nordstrand PU makes it on par with any of the Stingray type basses...........also it's lighter and has more sustain...........I wish some of you could play it......and then make up your mind..
If you like your B string clear and well defined............Lakland is not the only bass maker that has a good low B. These old Kingston's were made to get the job done!!!!
Add a J pickup and get rid of the white swoop..........it's routed from the back.........tons of room for a Pre.

I have another one of these .......don't have it posted but its the same same bass as the red one in tobacco sunburst with just the one pickup.

If nobody is interested I'm gonna try to trade them in at Guitar Center.

I used to own an MTD and I loved it. Great necks as mentioned before.

FWIW, I believe this is called the Kingston Artist. The Heir has the MM/J pickup config.

GLWTS!

Well, I do have this same model in tiger-stripped tobacco sunburst..........it does NOT have the Nordy pickup though. It is in excellent condition......I think it has the plastic still on the rear control cover. Pretty good for a 13 year old instrument.

This one also has a rosewood fingerboard.

If you want one with Nordy's.........I also have a Kingston Heir in 9.9 conditon with J/MM Nordy's Bart preamp, ash body, dark cherry top, Maple finger B, Hipshot gold bridge, gold carvin knobs, copper shielded, fretwork done, etc. It's about as deluxe as you can get without being MTD USA.
