MTD 535-24 Redwood/Mahogany/Ebony

Stunning MTD 535-24 in mint condition. Originally fretless -- that's why it does NOT have a zero fret nor Buzz Feiten sticker. Tina at The Amp Shop (bassexchange.com) in Los Angeles put the frets in and some lovely pearl dots on the fingerboard. This bass also has a push/pull on the volume for active/passive.

This bass is similar to the fretless redwood on Mike Tobias's website: http://www.mtdbass.com/pages/MTD.html

I am the second owner. Not sure of the exact age, but serial number is 1243.

Redwood over mahogany, beautiful ebony board on thin maple neck. Sounds just like you would want all those woods to sound. Snappy, deep, and feels awesome.

Asking $3600 shipped in very good condition MTD case.

There is only one explanation for the sale of this instrument: I need the money. The only trade I will consider is a mint condition 4 ohm cabinet by Bergantino (AE series) or Tecamp, and you pay the difference.

Comparing your bass with the one on the MTD website I'd say that there is no way they are the same bass. The figurings on the tops are completely different from one another. Beautiful looking bass all the same!

correction

Yeah, you're right. I think I was focusing more on the stripey ebony fingerboard...

Oh well -- thanks for the compliment nevertheless!
