I figured I'd close off another thread and dust off the cobwebs.
I bought this new last August because I wanted a 5 string bass. I quickly lost interest in having a 5 string bass and haven't played it since September 2010.
That's not so say it isn't a fantastic bass though. It sounds AMAZING. Nice and growly sound from the MM pickup. If you want a hi-fi sound that doesn't break the bank, this bass is for you.
The fit and finish is superb also. No nicks, bumps, dents, or anything. There's a little bit of tarnish on the hardware, but that can be polished off very easily.
This bass just needs a little bit of a setup, since I never got around to it and never bothered to.     
And this one is just to give you and idea of the curvature of the neck. I figured, why not?  $450 + the cost of shipping.

To answer your question though, it does not come with a hard case, it comes with a gig bag. I'll pack it well so it doesn't get damaged, so you don't have to worry about that.
