I would not recommend taking the bart pick ups out because this was the best upgrade on the bass in my honest opinion, but you'll get the original pickups anyway with the deal, and the OBP-2.

B string on this is actually great!
I learned that a B string doesnt necessarily have to have 35" scale to be good. The recipie for succes on a 34" scale b is the combination of setup and materials used/design for the bass itself.
I've switched entirely back to 34" scale for a few reasons including this knowledge.
