SOLD!!!
This is a monster bass but I just picked up another Sabre w/rosewood neck that I dig, so going to move this one. This is a 1979 Music Man Pre-EB Sabre bass (neck and body stamps both 1979, all pots are R13779XXX codes). As you can see, the original white finish is thrashed (or "relic'd" for those of you that dig this kind of thing), but all wear is finish level only - no dents or cracks in the wood. I was going to have it refinished by Pat Wilkins but decided to just sell it lest I feel the need to keep it after it comes back.

If you want me to, I could drive this down to Pat to have it refinished for you.
The greatest thing about this bass is the neck - great worn in feel but without major wear. Frets look like they've never been levelled and have no major grooves or flat spots. Just light string wear, as you can see from the pic below of the first three frets. Just had a new bone nut professionally installed. New nickel round strings (45-105), action is low. Neck is straight, truss rod works in both directions. All electronics are working perfectly (just sprayed out all the pots).
Selling for $1350 shipped in the US. I don't have the original case, but I will include an era-correct Fender bass case that fits perfectly. International shipping is no problem, just PM me for a quote.
