passive model
The neck is off, and the pickup just needs to
be soldered back to the pot & output jack.
two solder points, 6 neck bolts, strings, good to go.
no big deal. 20 minutes and you've got a great bass.
I have no real intention of ever soldering again, so my
broken soldering iron is not being replaced, which is why
I am not doing it myself.
A few pickguard screws are missing, as are some screws that hold the control plate (not my doing).
Overall the bass is a bit beat up (again, not my doing)
but is massively playable and sounds great.

And now is this, which to me looks like it has a
mild skin disease since I couldn't get all the color off.

From a distance it's not too noticeable.
