I can't believe I'm doing this. For sale is my Musicman Stingray 4HH, purchased brand new in December 2009 for $1600.
It's Graphite Pearl, black pearloid pickguard, rosewood fb and weighs in at 10lbs on my bathroom scale. Includes original plain black pickguard that has never been used, all the case candy, 2 keys, and the original hardshell case. It's strung up with DR Nickel Lo Riders.
I just bought a house and have some expenses to take care of, in addition to playing less and less these days; I'm thinning the herd. I have 4 other basses and they are all passive, except for my Carvin which has a passive/active switch. I am more of a passive fan I guess so this is the first one to go. She sounds great - obviously that classic Stingray sound.
It has never left my home (only when I moved). It has never been gigged (I have never gigged as a bassist), I only play from the comfort of my basement studio and she goes right back in the case when I'm done. Not a scratch, not a chip, not a smudge! This bass is in absolute perfect, minty, brand new condition! I am a freak when it comes to meticulously maintaining my prized possessions.
$1200 shipped - CONUS only. This price is FIRM. I am in no hurry and am currently questioning my sanity about this decision. If it doesn't sell here, I may go to ebay, or just keep it and figure something else out.
