|  | Lover of all things created by Leo | | Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: The Hammer | | | According to musicmanbass.org, the E56 serial number (if I'm reading it right) makes it a late 2006 or early 2007. They didn't switch to alnico until March 2008 so this one most likely has ceramic pickups.

As far as the pickups: someone once mentioned that the difference could be determined by the shiny-ness of the pickup poles. These are shiny, my other SR4's are duller. If anyone could chime in...
I'll check the weight on my bathroom scale tonight.

The alnico pole pieces never look polished and vary from light grey to dark grey, sometimes even black when heavily used. |

I can't even imagine a 6 string.
This bass is now on hold pending payment.
