Musicman Stingray Classic 4 with an amazing roasted maple neck.

This bass has to be hands down the best Stingray Classic I have ever owned. The neck on it is not only amazing looking but the nicest playable neck I have ever had on a Stingray.
The only reason why I am selling it is because it's just a little too heavy for me. At 10lbs even on my digital scale it just a little to much for my neck and shoulder which have been acting up as of lately. This has been a very hard decision for me to sell it because I really love this bass. But I need the funds to pay for a Sadowsky Will Lee that I now have on hold at Sadowsky's shop.

I paid $2,100.00 new for this beauty. And besides on little bb size ding on the top edge of the front the body which has not gone through the paint just the clear coat it's in mint condition. You can't see the ding from the front but you can see it in certin light looking down at the bass as you play it. I can't even get a photo it's so small. And I have a really good digital camera.

The bass has the original case which is mint, case candy and box that it was shipped in from Ernie Ball.

As a bonus I will throw in a brand new Hipshot D-Tuner that I bought for it and never put on. The Hipshot is still in the box.
It cost me $80.00.

$1,500.00 shipped in the CONUS.

Payment can be made by U.S. Postal Money's or a personal check. If you pay for it with a personal check the check must clear before the bass is shipped.

NO PAYPAL!

NO TRADES!

I have to say that whom ever buys this bass is going to get a very rare and great looking Stingray Classic. I will be very sorry to see it go. It has nice low action and a great slap tone.

Thanks for looking.

Must admit...I HAD a beautiful mint as new vintage white Classic Ray with flamed neck for all of about a month. I sadly let it go to grab money to buy something else I wanted.
DUMB MOVE!
I really want it back.
I love this Classic of yours with the roasted neck.
And like the fact it does not have that finish with the white flecks in it...sugar or whatever it is called. Many of the roasted neck basses have that finish.
I for sure am interested in this one you are selling.
Just a matter of what to sell to help fund it?
hmmmmmmmmmm? Major head scratching going on over here....hahaha

Mrfstop if you buy this one you won't be disappointed. I have owned a lot of classic rays and like you I had one that was a nice light 8.5 lbs that I brought back to the store because I didn't like the color. I regret it to this day. I have never found another classic 4 that was that light. But you move on.
But this one that's for sale by far has the best action, playability and sound out of all of them I have owned. I wish didn't have to part with it. I truely love it. But if I can't play it why keep it. It will be a sad day for me when I ship it to it's new owner. I hope you can work it out to buy it.

I just was so used to the sound of the 3 band EQ with my other Rays, that when I got the Classic at first it just did not mesh with my ear.
I have become accustomed to the 3 band and HH or HS configs with Musicman basses.
I rolled that Classic too soon. Should have kept it longer and gotten to appreciate it for what it is.
Just when I THOUGHT I had settled my ongoing G.A.S. pains and was content for the moment with what I have, along comes this Stingray. ughhhhhhhhh.....lol

I really don't need another 'Ray. Really. Not.

Hence I can only offer you a bump instead of a buy...
