Wink Musicman Stingray Copy REALLY NICE - $225

Sign in to disble this ad
Got this from a TBer and she was in need of bit of TLC. Sticker residue was all over her, she was pretty dirty, volume pot was shot, strings were dead, very poor setup, etc, etc, etc....

Well new volume pot, fresh setup, new strings, LOTS of cleaning, elbow grease and TLC, now she's a GREAT bass! But it's pretty redundant to my ATK, so up for sale she goes.

She's an old Ray copy. Not sure what brand, but it does NOT appear to quite match OLP or other cheap brands (this appears to be a notch or two up from those). It is a well made instrument!

Medium/low action, straight neck, good frets, nice tone (really, I mean this). A few dings, but nothing serious.

So I just want about what I have into her. $Sold (local Craigslist)!

Edit/Update: 12/31
A couple of TBers asked me some specific questions and I'll post the answers here:
Weight: ~ 8.5 lbs
Neck & Fret board, are they 1 piece or separates? They are separates. A lot of cheaper basses are one piece. This is not the case with this bass.

Sorry, forgot to mention that....she's passive. It's a bit of a strange knob config, but it works (and works rather well). From the neck:

vol
tone (high)
tone (low)

Don't ask me how they do it on a passive bass, but there are a few caps and resistors under there and it does work and it really sounds great!

Edited original post to answer some questions that TBers asked of me regarding this bass.

A "I'd buy it if my current bass fund wasn't dedicated to buying a 5 string" bump
