MUST SEE RARE DOUBLE P

Sign in to disble this ad
OK...this is bittersweet for me. I have just bought a 69 jazz that i'm really excited about...now to pay for it...sigh.

I bought this from Steve Barr right near the end of the Dude Pit. Steve said it was one of his favorite basses all time...I can see why. The hottest, nastiest bass I have ever owned...and I have went thru a buttload! This bass has tons of bells and whistles and plays and is built like a 3 to 4 k bass. It's an Oakland neck thru double P built in Japan. I've never seen another quite like her. Excellent condition with original case...plus an all important peice of paper that tells exactly what the crap each of these switches do lol. Another bass I thought I would never sell...but I'm down to this to pay for my purchase

$699 SHIPPED and Paypal accepted reduced!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I won't say NO trades...but a trade would have to be very much in my favor to mess with (because i'm only selling to pay for the other bass)...otherwise you wouldn't pry this bass out of my dead hands

Oak

Great looking bass. Weight?

Can you describe the sound and range thereof?

Thanks.

Did Steve ever lick that one?
Either way, wish I hadn't bought a bass yesterday.

Please describe the electronics, and the output jack. Separate output for each pickup? Must be some reason for the XLR output jack. Matching case?

I am on the road until monday morning...so I can't get an exact weight...thinking it's in the nine range. So many tones as you can see, but as I said this is the loudest, most aggresive bass I have ever owned. Of course you can "tone it down" with all the options...think if Satan built a P bass

Is the original Oakland case...as for the electronics I can't remember what everything does (so many options)...I do have a list for all the options...I could take a picture of it. I know one of the knobs blends in the active preamp, tone/volume...etc.

I'm sure this one sports more Steve Slobber than anything but his collar. I remember him waxing poetic several times on this bass while on the old Dudepit.

Ok guys...I dropped the price to $699 shipped...I doubt I'll go lower. It sounds to good... so I might as well keep her and sell something else for less than this price

Wow this is super rare...I just google imaged it and only about 3 out of like 7 were actual pictures of the bass. heres a diagram of the controls:

Dont ask me the language.... I even found an old TB thread it was in and it linked to this album which apparently was the same guy who went on to create thedudepit. sorry go off like that with my creeper findings
I would so go for it if I had any money D:
