My Roscoe LG-3000 & My Fender Geddy Lee For Your?

Sign in to disble this ad
I really don't play 4 string basses anymore so up for trade are 2 great 4 bangers!

First up is my Roscoe LG-3000.

I got this bass a couple of months ago, when I got it somebody had installed an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp, I didn't really liked it so I ordered a 3 band Bartolini preamp, now the bass sounds better and it has the active/passive option (pull/push volume knob).

Ash body, killer Spalted Maple top, Maple/Purple heart neck and Wenge board. Bartolini pickups and preamp, comes in a Roscoe hard case. I just put a brand new set of DR Bootzillas and it sound funky!!

Fender Geddy Lee. You all know the specs, comes in a deluxe Fender gig bag with warranty card.

I'm looking for a nice 5er (possibly a 6er, no 4 please), Smith, Skjold, Pavel, R-Bass, Roscoe or? trade value is about $2000 for the Roscoe and $750 for the Geddy. I'm willing to add a nice chunk of cash if you have something really nice!

Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking!

They look great together. Almost makes me want to give you my bass and cash for both...best of both worlds. Passive Fender sweetness and active Roscoe coolness.

Unfortunately, I really only need the Geddy.

I was about to say, you should pm SteveC.

Too bad you couldn't work out a trade for the Geddy and move the LG by itself.

The Geddy weights a little over 9 lbs (bathroom scale method)

I actually got some nice offers for the Roscoe and the Geddy was almost traded, but I wanted to offer both basses to see what kind of offers I get.

I wish I could. I sold my Geddy Lee to a drummer friend of mine a year or two ago and he's brining it over tonight. I'll probably buy it back if he's ready to sell - which I think he is.

I was tempted to offer my MV5 and some cash for both of these beauties but just can't.....
