My Two Custom STR 5 string basses for your ????

I'm looking to possibly trade both of my STR 5 string basses for a Sadowsky USA 5 or an Alleva Coppolo. These are custom made in Japan and are made with the attention to detail of the best basses in the world. Brian at thelowend.net is the US dealer for these and has a few in his shop for sale now.

The white one is a Vintage 5 with custom singles in 70's position in the typical ash/maple combo with bartolini preamp. The second is a CS549 with custom singles in 60's position in typical alder/rosewood combo with aguilar preamp. Both weigh under 9lbs , have 34" scale, and are in excellent cosmetic condition. They are both gorgeous and play and sound as good as American boutique builders such as Fodera, Sadowsky, etc. I'm just gassin for something with a name on the headstock.

Yes it does. I recorded it straight into the DI input of my Fireface Interface. It was in passive mode with the balance knob about 70% toward the back pick up and the tone knob about halfway down.

As stated in the original thread, both are equipped with single coil jazz pups and are 34" inch scale basses. They both have a relatively flat modern style fingerboard with 1 7/8" nut and 19mm spacing. The white one has pups in 70s position and has an ash body with with maple fretboard and straight traditional style headstock. The black one has 60's position pups with alder body and rosewood fingerboard and modern bent headstock. The black one weighs a tad under 9lbs and the white one weighs 8.75lbs exactly. The black one has an 18v Auilar OBP-3 with active/passive switch, mid frequency switch, bass, mid, treble, volume, balance, and tone controls. The white one has a 9v Bartolini NTMB preamp with Bass and Treble boost only, Tone, Balance, Volume, and active/passive switch. Hope this helps.
