Nash PB-63

SOLDRising GAS has caused me to put this up on the block, it's a Very fine example of a Nash PB-63 in a gorgeous olympic white finish. It weighs in at 8.5 lbs and sits very comfortably. Has the Dimarzio Pick-up which sounds amazing! Comes with a nash original hardshell case. $1150

Nice bass. I have been thinking about these. Not sure how I feel about relics though.

Nut width?

NYCbassist 03-19-2013 08:58 AM

Very Nice. Does Nash build these from scratch or is it a Modded Fender?

Thanks,
Gerry

I believe it's 1 5/8 at the nut, but I'll double check after work. Nash puts the basses togather and does all the finish. I'm unsure if he makes the parts or not.

Thanks, I know they're excellent basses. I just don't know much about them.

Nash does NOT make their basses from scratch.
I've heard they use several different sources for bodies and necks.
If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
Nice bass by the way.

Bump for a sweet lookin' Nash.

Bump while I check my funds

Marc61 03-30-2013 06:58 PM

Do you happen to have any sound clips?

SoLongJake 03-30-2013 07:24 PM

I don't but it sounds like a vintage p should. The Dimarzio pickup is fantastic sounding.

For what it's worth, they're not built from scratch but assembled from purchased parts and that's where the Nash magic enters into it. I have a Nash '63 Jazz bought about 3 years ago ans couldn't be happier with the sound and the feel . . . just saying . . .

That thing looks proper!

Toshiko 04-12-2013 08:05 AM

GAS pains! How do I go from looking for a 5 string jazz to dreaming about this bass?

Before yesterday, I'd have told you that I have no interest in a P bass

Oh the agony... :help:

Is the current price $1300?

SoLongJake 04-26-2013 08:15 PM

I have a Nash 57 P Bass..with DiMarzios....it's my main bass and it has been for the past few years....great bass, sounds great. This is a nice deal...

I do get grief for the relic aspect....I have actually been called a liar for playing it from a female singer..hysterical..I told her what it was..

+1 nice bass. Big chunky but comfortable neck on these. The neck reminds me of the Fender Palladino P neck. It's a player of a bass. Big neck = big tone!
