Got this recently from dabass. I knew it was a "science experiment" in terms of me and the bass being compatible, but was fairly sure it would work out after enjoying tb'er Vic's twin to this one at the STL GTG.
Fabulous, top tier craftsmanship and playability, but, I've really evolved into very much of a 60's alder/rosewood Jazz bass player...and this isn't that.
so:
factory fresh MTD 535-24
ash body, walnut top
ash neck, birdseye maple fingerboard
matching walnut headstock and trussrod cover
all the paperwork, case candy, cleaning and maintenance products, new style hygrometer equipped case...
if you add up all the options at the mtd pricing page: http://www.mtdbass.com/pages/MTD.html
you're looking at over $6,000, and a looong wait.
snag up this beauty, now, for $3200
one snap now, more later:

| | | | Holy Moly. This is just a beautiful bass and a great MTD spec, and a GREAT price. Of course, we know Chef is a great TBer and seller.
If I was looking for another MTD, this would be the spec... walnut, ash/ash, 24 fret, and birdseye maple board, and the matching truss rod cover and headstock... nice upgrades!
Someone will grab this one quickly at that price (for a literally 'as new' MTD).
Beautiful! |

Sure looks way cool! |
