no longer bassist for Counting Crows, think it's legit, been following it on ebay, it was posted earlier, didn't sell, re-llisted, price drop starting at $1600. Matt fallen on hard times?

What do these basses compare to in tone? Interesting pickup configuration with the neck pickup location . Is it deep and clear? or muddy?

Check the sound clips to hear the various tones you can get. I own a Decade, and it's definitely not muddy.
