Nordstrand jazz 4 for sale (sound clip added)

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale Nordstrand bass.
I have owned it for almost three years, and if I did not get a new bass and if there is no wife and kid, I would definitely keep it. Carry originally built this bass for him self, and I believe that there is no need to say how good his work is. Everybody on this forum knows about Nordstrand basses.

One piece padauk body;
Two pieces venge neck with pao ferro fretboard;
Hipshot bridge and Ultralight tuners;
nj4 Nordstrand pick-ups (singlecoil, but not there is not much of a hum)
Aguilar OB3 9V preamp.
34" scale;
Strings spacing 10mm at nut 19mm at bridge;
1.5" neck with at the nut (fast and slim neck-great feel)
Volume, balance, bass, middle, treble.

Price 1450.00 CAD pay pall preferred.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Bass is in great shape, minor buckle rush on the back and a few very minor scratches in the finish, could not get it photographed.

Sound clip,

Restaurant gig, both pickups fully on, Markbass sa500+102 traveler cab+boss reverb-amp and the bass set flat.

Paduak.

How much does this bass weigh? Something tells me a solid Paduak body may be kinda heavy. It is a stunner for sure!

Not too bad. Does the bass have vintage fretwire?

Wow, that bass has aged really nicely. The padauk is really rich looking now.
From what I remember, it has banjo size fretwire. Which is pretty much a smaller vintage size.
Good luck with the sale.

OK last price drop and I will keep it for now if it does not sell.
I believe that this is a great price for this bass.

This is such a great bass. I had it for a short time years ago. It had a Suhr preamp and pickups in it back then. I have very fond memories from when I had this......good luck! ....and nice score on the Ken Lawrence....noone makes a better bass!

Thanks emjazz,

Nordstrand is indeed a really nice bass, I am sure that I will miss it, but I have to do what I have to do.
If nobody gets it by Christmas, I will keep for now.
