Nordstrand Nordy vJ5

This is killing me, but it's just not getting the playing time that it deserves, and I could really use the money. I ordered this bass from Carey last summer and picked it up in November, and it's an amazing instrument in fantastic condition.

The specs:
alder body
Brazilian rosewood fingerboard (just gorgeous)
Nordstrand pickups: reverse P and Big Split
Nordy 3-band preamp with vol/vol, passive tone control, and preamp bypass

Carey also custom-made the color for me. It's not for everyone, but every single person whose ever seen it has complimented me on it, and it's as unique as can be!

Looking for $1900 shipped in the lower 48. Please, no trades. Ships in its original Nordy gig bag.

I don't know which bass I like better -- this one or your Skjold that is also for sale. Two outstanding basses for sure!

Thanks Freddy, they're both outstanding instruments. I have a bunch of sweet stuff, but as I only have two hands and limited funds, I simply can't afford to keep stuff, no matter how special it is.

This is truly a unique finish on a great bass. I like it a lot. Good luck with the sale.

Now that's a P/J5. Dang! I'd almost sell my NX5 for that!

Gorgeous.

I think a dark tortoise-shell pickguard would definitely tone down the green finish of that bass.

why would you even try to tone it down??? A bright yellow guard would work too...or even red would make it christmasy

I actually considered a red tort guard, but I figured the more neutral white would help the green look more natural. I for one think it looks great!

19mm at the bridge. The nut is 1.81" (per Nordstrand website)... don't know what that translates into as far as string-to-string spacing at the nut, but it's a 'standard' Jazz 5-string spacing. Hope that helps!

Naw... toss a black pickguard and hardware on it, now that would look sexy!

I know Major Metal would agree!

Peace,
