bump for the captn....

By the way, the pickup covers are radiused to the fingerboard....this also may be the only bass Carey made with this body shape. I think it changed it a bit after this one and then a few more times until he decided on the current shape.

It originally had a gaboon ebony fingerboard but the ebony split in a couple of places and had to be replaced. I liked the look of the original board but I definately liked the sound of the pau ferro better.

Oh I see....

Hey, I know this is probably me sounding like a noobe, but is morado and pau ferro the same wood with 2 names (like korina=black limba)?

Jai, I've always heard the two names used interchangably....but I'm sure if Ken Smith were to answer this that he'd be able to tell us the destinction of the two, if any....
