Nordy VJ 5 Sea Foam Green Fretted or Fretless

I really dig this bass, but it isn't earning it's keep. There is one large ding on the body, so this one isn't 'mint.' There are also a few 'dimples' in the wood. Not through the paint, and nothing major, but there is a bit of wear.

The bass comes with a fretted maple neck that is in great shape---but also included is a fretless neck with matching headstock. I'm guessing that the bass was originally fretless. THE FRETLESS NECK HAS A FEW SCRATCHES ON THE BOARD. I had the neck hanging up and dropped something on it. I felt horrible. See pics below. I'm sure it can be resurfaced though.

The bass is passive with a MM and, I beleive, a big split. They aren't exactly the same width. Just pointing that out...

Here are pics from the Low End site. These are not my pics, mine are below ...

I would sell for $1850 shipped with both necks.

Can it get a decent "Jaco-ish" bridge pickup tone or is it more MM inspired?

If you wanted to trade or even sell just the fretted maple neck, let me know.

I wouldn't call it Jaco, no. It is mellower and sweeter. But, it isn't quite classic MM either. It's passive so it has a different vibe. I prefer it to both tones, honestly. There is also a coil tap switch which really opens up the options. Not to mention the neck pickup.....

Hey, Thumby, hope all is well. If someone wants only the fretless neck, I'm sure we can work something out.

I would be open to trades on this one. I'm torn about the Benavente, but this one, I would trade.

I'd be open to 4 strings. What is the weight of your Lull?

I would also be open to nice mics and mic pres.

LULL weight is under 9 lbs... Considerably lighter than my JO5 which is 9lbs.,,,
