Hi Jake, yeah I'm keeping the white one. I'm just gonna go in
a different direction. They are both great basses. I
like the white one a little more. I'm just an alder/rosewood
kind of guy I guess.

Nice basses!
BTW, how do the Fat Stacks sound on your black Nordy? Do you have different pickups on your white Nordy? Can you describe the difference between them?
I just got another Woodandtronics single cut 5 with Fat Stacks and I was thinking to change the pickups and use Fat Stacks on my Nordy vJ5 (Ash/Maple/Maple). That's why I am asking.
Thanks!

Hi Margus, Both basses have Fat Stacks. I LOVE
Fat Stacks! The coil tap is pretty cool. You can get
close to a single coil J tone or a P-ish tone.
The humbucker mode can get some KILLER finger
style sounds. The single coil favoring the bridge
PU can get a cool Jaco'ish tone.
I have an older Ardere that does not have the
Passive Tone Control.

The Nordstrand Fat Stacks are kind of the Do-It-All
pickup's. They will not nail the J or the
P tone. But, they can get close. The Nordy's
and the Fat Stacks just sound great.
As bass players.. what more can we ask for?
Dan

Thanks, Bass7755! I just got a brand new custom made Woodandtronics (WT) single cut 5 with Fat Stacks. BTW this bass smokes out everything I ever tried so far - even my Nordy. Although I wasn't crazy about Fat Stacks on that particular bass - they made the bass sound too Jazz Bass stylish while it's neckthrough and more Fodera like - I actually like the sound of Fat Stacks. I am planning to install these Fat Stacks into my Nordy which has Big Singles at the moment. WT will have Dual Coils.
So, happy selling! I hope someone gets this great bass soon!

Man, if this had the passive tone control, it would be mine.

Hi,

Could you let me know what this one weighs? Bathroom scale measurement is fine!

Cheers

Joe.

FAKE EDIT: I need to read threads before posting in future. Nice and light!
